Podcasters are archetypal sages don’t believe me? As a key part of my show, I ask my guests on what is driving their curiosity right now. It gives a fascinating insight into the minds of others as we sit in the great reset, not knowing what is to come out the other side.

Creating value for listeners, allowing them to grow as individuals as well as yearning for simpler times are all common themes that emerge. What I also sense is that these are turbulent times and some form of normality needs to be maintained, at least on paper.

The key takeaway is, however, is how is life going to change, once we have re-emerged from the lock-down and quarantine? What is life like on the other side? Are we as a society going to stay at home or will resume the commute to work in an office in the CBD?

The most interesting thing to come out of this is the shift towards thinking of others, as podcast hosts we are offering value for our perspective communities. As great sages Podcasters are members of the creative community people are turning to right now. Every podcaster has a role to play in guiding their listener on a journey to the other side in whatever shape it takes. It is our duty to become thought leaders and influencers that will shape popular culture and media habits of this generation and the generations to come.
